Their Story

Mother of one teenage son who I will regain custody on November 3rd. Lost...

in court because I could not afford a lawyer and could not receive assistance dealing with a adhd/odd diagnosed teen . Homeless due to Mother wound and her personal attack against me, because she wanted my only child. Well the court granted her temporary custody. I have lived in my car due to being locked out of a home that I helped purchase with my parents and lived in for 23 years. How did I attract this to myself? Taking full accountability for being trusting, trying to heal so I can continue life. I am HAVING TO START WITH NOTHING. Seeking housing so that my son and I can reunite in a safe environment. This is the most difficult time being away from my only child, but God's got me. Looks like nowhere has funding for housing and this process is so daunting. My biggest goal right now is to get my car back running. Engine failure, thus engine replacement and new radiator needed as soon as possible. Also, my big goal is to secure full-time employment. Thanking you all in advance for any help provided to me. God bless.

These are our neighbors

During this unprecented time, it's never been more important to help them find a safe, stable, supportive place to sleep at night.

We find that when we wrap a social home around someone, they gain the capacity to often find the physical home soon after.

You are invited to join one or many who seek to find a home this year.

The number one question I'm asked, is " Jeff, how do I respond when asked for help on the street? Samaritan is an answer to that question.

This is the first time in seven years people have seen me for who I am, not what I look like or come from.

Thanks to samaritans for checking up on and feeding me… Don’t know how I would have ate or kept warm many nights without you.

Sometimes, you can feel really invisible and it can kind of feel al lot of times like there's no help out there. It was just nice to have people be like "Yea, we really want to help."
